After losing to Groß Misconduct two weeks ago , Hapoel had to bounce back. On Wednesday, they faced the Medics & Dentists following a 1-1 draw earlier in the season.

Hapoel needed a win to stay top of the league and increase their promotion chances but did not get off to a good start. After three minutes, a ball was played in behind for the opposing attackers to chase, who then took an early lead.

Things went from bad to worse for Hapoel as a mix up between the defence and goalkeeper allowed the Medics&Dentists to double their lead.

Hapoel kept battling , having a goal disallowed, but club captain Toby Anthony got them back into the game with a good finish. Anthony was on fire, netting his second of the day, levelling the game. Following a controversial Zac Gold tackle, the referee pointed to the spot. The penalty was converted and the opposition retook their lead.

Another goal followed for Anthony, completing his hat trick ,and once again getting Hapoel back in the game. The Medics&Dentists protested the referee's decision, believing that the goal was offside and the referee decided to sinbin the goalkeeper.

Hapoel took advantage of their extra man with a good strike from Jonah Hirschel that caught the makeshift goalkeeper off guard and gave Hapoel the lead for the first time in the game just before halftime.

The Medics had a great chance to equalise but their shot ricocheted off the woodwork. Player-manager Eytan Millan showed brilliant skill to try and increase Hapoels lead but a good save from the keeper drove the attempt wide.

Josh Morris got on the scoresheet thanks to an assist from Toby Anthony, leaving Morris to hit the ball in the back of an empty net.

With just over 10 minutes left, the referee lost all control of the game, deciding to Sin Bin, another opposition player. This did not have an impact on the game, which finished 5-3 , leaving Hapoel three points clear at the top of the table.
